💙In memory of Tommy Soto

With deep sadness, we mourn the passing of Tommy Soto, a beloved member of the NPH Dominican Republic family, who passed away on April 10.

Tommy was a brave, sensitive, and radiant young man. Throughout his life, he faced great challenges with strength, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the opportunity to know him. In our community, he was remembered for his calm nature, strong sense of responsibility, and his constant willingness to help others.

A lover of art, he found in drawing and painting a way to express his inner world. His creativity, along with his warmth, will always remain in our memories.

Today, we join in prayer for his eternal rest and lovingly stand with the entire NPH Dominican Republic family during this time of grief. ✨

Con profunda tristeza, lamentamos el fallecimiento de Tommy Soto, querido miembro de la familia de NPH República Dominicana, ocurrido el pasado 10 de abril.

Tommy fue un joven valiente, sensible y lleno de luz. A lo largo de su vida enfrentó grandes desafíos con fortaleza, dejando huella en cada persona que tuvo la oportunidad de conocerlo. En nuestra comunidad fue recordado por su carácter tranquilo, su sentido de responsabilidad y su disposición constante para ayudar a los demás.

Amante del arte, encontraba en el dibujo y la pintura una forma de expresar su mundo interior. Su creatividad, así como su calidez humana, permanecerán siempre en nuestra memoria.

Hoy nos unimos en oración por su descanso eterno y acompañamos con cariño a toda la familia de NPH República Dominicana en este momento de dolor. ✨

💙 In Memory of Luis Alberto

With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Luis Alberto Castro, who departed on March 26.

Luis Alberto was part of the NPH family since 2008. Throughout his life, he faced many challenges, but he also found at Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos-Dominican Republic a home filled with care, support, and people who walked alongside him.

He will be remembered for his joy, energy, and enthusiasm. He loved to sing, dance, and visit the office to greet and spend time with everyone. Every small achievement —like learning to say his name— reflected his effort and the love that surrounded him.

Today, we remember his life with love and gratitude. Luis Alberto leaves a deep mark on our community.

Con mucho pesar, compartimos el fallecimiento de Luis Alberto Castro, quien partió el 26 de marzo.

Luis Alberto formó parte de la familia NPH desde 2008. A lo largo de su vida enfrentó grandes desafíos, pero también encontró en NPH Republica Dominicana un hogar lleno de cuidado, acompañamiento y personas que caminaron a su lado.
Será recordado por su alegría, su energía y su entusiasmo. Le gustaba cantar, bailar y visitar la oficina para saludar y compartir con todos. Cada pequeño logro suyo —como aprender a decir su nombre— fue un reflejo de su esfuerzo y del amor que lo rodeaba.

Hoy recordamos su vida con cariño y gratitud. Luis Alberto deja una huella profunda en nuestra comunidad.

Today we say goodbye with deep sadness to Frank Krafft, a beloved friend of the NPH family. 💙

His generosity, vision, and commitment helped transform the lives of thousands of children across Latin America and the Caribbean. Together with his wife Polly, he dedicated his life to building a family rooted in love, dignity, and opportunity for those who need it most.

His legacy lives on in every child who finds hope at NPH.
We hold the Krafft family in our thoughts and prayers during this time. 🤍

Loving God,

On this Third Sunday of Lent, You meet us in our thirst —
our longing for meaning, dignity, and hope.
As Jesus spoke with the Samaritan woman at the well,
teach us to listen deeply, without judgment or fear,
and to recognize Your living water flowing through every life.
We bring before You the children, families, and communities served by NPH,
especially those who carry hidden burdens and silent struggles.
Refresh their spirits, restore their strength,
and remind them that they are seen, known, and loved.
Grant wisdom and perseverance to all who serve:
caregivers, educators, medical teams, volunteers, and leaders.
May we never grow weary of doing good,
and may compassion always guide our actions.
Renew us during this Lenten journey,
so that our lives may become wells of hope for others.

Amen.
Peace and all good.

En este Tercer Domingo de Cuaresma, Tú nos encuentras en nuestra sed —
sed de sentido, de dignidad y de esperanza.
Así como Jesús habló con la mujer samaritana junto al pozo,
enséñanos a escuchar profundamente, sin juicio ni temor,
y a reconocer el agua viva que fluye en cada vida.
Te presentamos a los niños, las familias y las comunidades acompañadas por NPH,
especialmente a quienes cargan heridas ocultas y luchas silenciosas.
Renueva sus fuerzas, refresca su espíritu
y recuérdales que son vistos, conocidos y amados.
Concede sabiduría y perseverancia a todos los que sirven:
cuidadores, educadores, equipos médicos, voluntarios y líderes.
Que nunca nos cansemos de hacer el bien
y que la compasión guíe siempre nuestras acciones.
