Education and Development

“I am so grateful to be able to use what I learned to improve my life, my family’s life and help those in need.”

The Key to Sustainable Development

Children represent nearly half of the world’s poor and are disproportionately the most affected. Lack of access to education often goes hand in hand with poor nutrition, unsafe drinking water and inadequate health care. Education, as a human right, is fundamental to breaking this cycle.

NPH aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Ensure Quality Education. By providing inclusive and equitable education, we empower children to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities.

Our Unique Approach

Comprehensive Educational Support

NPH International supports girls, boys and young people from kindergarten through university, complementing academic training with mentoring, extracurricular activities and vocational training for those who opt for practical career paths.

Beyond Academics: Personal and Spiritual Growth

NPH International promotes personal and spiritual development through values-based training and empowerment programs that build confidence, resilience and leadership in both girls and boys.

SUPPORTING THE UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Empowering Children Through Education

From Adversity to Hope

Isaac found stability at NPH El Salvador and became a dedicated nurse after a difficult childhood.

A Childhood Full of Challenges

Isaac was only 12 years old when he and his two sisters arrived at NPH El Salvador. Before that, life was a daily struggle: they lived in a small rented room, often went hungry, and he worked after school to help cover expenses. When his father was imprisoned, their lives took an uncertain turn.

A New Beginning

Desperate for help, Isaac took his younger sister to the Family Court in San Salvador. A lawyer intervened and brought them to NPH, a place that would change everything. At first, Isaac felt alone, unsure if he belonged there, but eventually he found a family that gave him love, security and hope.

Challenges and Self-discovery

Without the support of his biological family, Isaac struggled to find his place. A serious accident in high school was a turning point: it was in the hospital that he realized his true calling: to become a nurse and help those in need.
