Born in Costa Rica and residing in Guatemala, Dr. Gerardo brings extensive expertise in child protection and family support in Latin America. With a proven track record, he has directed influential child protection projects, including the management of protection centers and the creation of family reintegration programs that serve as government-endorsed models for sustainable, community-focused solutions. His work in policy implementation, conflict resolution, and child welfare program development has earned him recognition as a trusted advocate for the well-being of children and families across the region.

Dr. Gerardo holds a Doctorate in Divinity, an MBA, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, a combination that equips him with a unique blend of technical insight, cultural understanding, and leadership. His commitment to collaboration has been instrumental in strengthening partnerships with NGOs and government bodies, creating a safety net for at-risk children and supporting family stability in vulnerable communities.
