Safeguarding Training for All Staff
Safeguarding involves every one of us. That is why all NPH staff—no matter their country, role, or position—receive safeguarding training.
Training is already being delivered across all NPH programs in Latin America and NPH Haiti Health Initiatives (NPHHI). Fundraising teams in North America and Europe will also receive coordinated safeguarding training, ensuring that our entire global community operates under the same shared understanding, values, and responsibilities.
These training sessions help reinforce our collective awareness, support early identification of concerns, and empower staff to maintain the safest possible environment for the children and families we serve.
A Policy for Everyone
The updated Safeguarding Policy applies to all staff members, from caregivers and teachers to administrative teams, medical professionals, volunteers, and fundraising offices. Regardless of job title, each of us plays a vital role in safeguarding the people entrusted to our care.
This update includes clearer guidelines, strengthened procedures, and expanded expectations for appropriate behavior and reporting—all designed to enhance accountability, transparency, and protection.
