NPH International has released its 2025 Census and Annual Analysis Reports, highlighting the collective impact of programs serving children, young people, and families across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Working across nine countries, NPH supported 5,941 direct beneficiaries in 2025 through integrated programs focused on child protection, education, healthcare, disability inclusion, family strengthening, and community development.
The findings reaffirm NPH’s long-term commitment to strengthening families, expanding opportunities for vulnerable communities, and advancing individualized support systems aligned with international child protection standards and the organization’s Strategic Plan.
Through family- and community-based care, educational opportunities, healthcare access, disability inclusion initiatives, and youth empowerment programs, NPH continues building pathways toward long-term wellbeing and independence for children and families across the region.
Expanding Educational Opportunities and Community Support
Community-based programs remained central to strengthening protective environments for children, young people, and families. Across Latin America and the Caribbean, NPH expanded access to education, protection, and community support through initiatives that reached thousands of beneficiaries:
- 4,933 children and young people participated in community-based programs
- 1,008 children and young people received residential care and protection
- 242 children and young people participated in family reintegration processes
- 4,506 children and young adults accessed educational services
- 754 graduations were celebrated across all educational levels
NPH also strengthened long-term pathways toward independence, family wellbeing, and social inclusion through programs designed to build resilience and opportunity:
- 623 young adults participated in employability and workforce development programs
- 414 caregivers participated in parenting schools and family strengthening initiatives
- 557 direct beneficiaries living with disabilities received specialized support and services
Education remained a central pillar of NPH’s work throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. These efforts helped strengthen resilience, improve access to opportunities, and support long-term wellbeing across communities:
- 242 children and young people participated in family reintegration processes
- 414 caregivers engaged in parenting schools and family strengthening activities
- Thousands of children and families benefited from community-centered services designed to reinforce protective family environments
These efforts align with global child protection standards emphasizing prevention, individualized care, and sustainable family support systems.
Healthcare Access and Specialized Support Services
Healthcare access and child wellbeing remained central to NPH’s mission in 2025. Recognizing that health plays a critical role in child development and long-term opportunity, NPH continued investing in comprehensive healthcare initiatives across country programs. From preventive services and routine care to rehabilitation and specialized treatment, healthcare programs helped strengthen wellbeing, improve access to essential services, and support healthier outcomes for children and families throughout the region:
- 1,850 children accessed healthcare services through NPH and partner providers
- 10,150 therapy treatments and services were delivered, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and specialized support services
- 1,265 vaccinations were administered
- 1,289 preventive health checkups were provided
- 1,986 dental treatments were delivered
- 5,896 physician consultations were carried out
- 7,378 nursing consultations were provided
These investments help strengthen child wellbeing while improving healthcare access in communities where quality medical services can often be limited.

Disability inclusion remained a priority throughout NPH programming, helping strengthen access to services and individualized support for children and young people.

- 557 direct beneficiaries living with disabilities received support and services
- 168 children with disabilities received residential care services
- Children and young people accessed specialized support programs designed to strengthen independence, wellbeing, and inclusion

St. Damien Pediatric Hospital Continues Critical Healthcare Services in Haiti
Despite severe instability affecting Haiti, St. Damien Pediatric Hospital continued providing essential healthcare services to children and families throughout 2025.
The hospital delivered 46,506 healthcare services and treatments, reinforcing its role as a critical humanitarian and healthcare provider during an exceptionally challenging period.
Even amid extraordinary challenges, several healthcare indicators showed meaningful growth compared to the previous year:

Investments in education, workforce readiness, and leadership development continued helping young people build pathways toward long-term independence:
- 623 young adults participated in employability and workforce development initiatives
- 754 graduations were celebrated across all educational levels
- 23 young adults graduated from university programs
- 51.3% of graduates across all educational levels were women
These outcomes reflect sustained investments in education, workforce readiness, leadership development, and empowerment opportunities that help young people transition successfully into adulthood.
