Position Overview:
The Clinic Assistant is a healthcare professional who assists doctors in the NPH Clinic in providing patient care, performing examinations, diagnosing conditions, and offering treatment. He or she attends patients and helps to create a positive patient experience at our on-site clinics. The Clinic Assistant also supports with health prevention and promotion programs of the Clinic, including programs for vaccination, height and weight monitoring, nutrition and deparasite campaigns among others. In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining patient information and providing guidance on clinic procedures.

Position Requirements:
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Nutrition, Psychology, Health Sciences or a related field and healthcare experience or direct patient care experience.
- Successful volunteers at NPH have strong leadership skills, are resilient and flexible, and work well in teams.
Language Requirements:
Intermediate Spanish language skills are critical for success as a volunteer in this position with NPH. NPH tests Spanish language skills of candidates invited for an interview. Applicants who do not have an adequate level of Spanish will be required to attend immersion school prior to beginning service with NPH at their own expense.
Age Requirements:
NPH accepts volunteers at least 21 years of age or older.
