At NPHI, we share with great relief and gratitude the news that Gena Heraty and those who were with her have been released, after being held against their will on August 3rd in Kenscoff, Haiti.
We are deeply thankful to all those in Haiti and around the world who have shown solidarity, offered prayers, and supported during this very difficult time.

We kindly ask for understanding and respect for Gena’s privacy and for all those involved, as they begin to recover from this experience.

Our hearts remain with the people of Haiti, as we continue to hope for safer and more peaceful days.

This has been an extremely traumatic episode, and we are grateful that it has reached a safe resolution. We kindly ask that the privacy of all involved and their families be respected at this time, giving them the space to recover.
