Thanks to this center, vulnerable children, youth, and adults can once again access essential therapies that strengthen their health, independence, and social integration. 💙

Despite the challenges, our mission in the Special Needs Program remains as strong as ever: to accompany those most in need with patience, compassion, and love.

At NPHI, we share with great relief and gratitude the news that Gena Heraty and those who were with her have been released, after being held against their will on August 3rd in Kenscoff, Haiti.
We are deeply thankful to all those in Haiti and around the world who have shown solidarity, offered prayers, and supported during this very difficult time.

We kindly ask for understanding and respect for Gena’s privacy and for all those involved, as they begin to recover from this experience.

Our hearts remain with the people of Haiti, as we continue to hope for safer and more peaceful days.

We are pleased to confirm that Gena Heraty and the seven Haitian colleagues who had been held have now been released and reunited with their loved ones.

This has been an extremely traumatic episode, and we are grateful that it has reached a safe resolution. We kindly ask that the privacy of all involved and their families be respected at this time, giving them the space to recover.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the NPH and St. Luke Family, and to all who have offered prayers and support in recent days.🙏🏼

NPH International shares with deep concern that a security incident took place on August 3 at our St. Helene community in Haiti. Eight individuals, including our colleague Gena Heraty, are involved in a situation that remains under review.

We are working closely with the authorities and remain committed to the well-being of everyone in our care. We kindly ask for discretion, respect, and unity as we work toward a peaceful resolution.
