The excitement continued as Javier Marcet announced the recipients of this year’s scholarships, awarded to support the personal and athletic development of selected youth. What was meant to be five scholarships became six: Guatemalan participant Gerson Palencia was unable to travel this year, so his scholarship has been reserved for 2026.
This scholarship program—now in its second year—is the result of a partnership between the Marcet Academy and NPH Spain. Young people from the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico were chosen to participate.
From Guatemala, the selected participants are Diego Vásquez and Ángel Camey; from the Dominican Republic, Sandro Sánchez; and from El Salvador, Christian Amaya.
Vicky Aguilar, representing NPH Mexico, will be the women’s delegate at Camp Marcet next summer. Just minutes before learning she had been selected, she spoke with us. Here is what she shared.
