This Friday, December 5th, Salvadorans and Hondurans will play in the final of the One Goal for Peace Cup. We will have a live broadcast through the NPH El Salvador Facebook page in collaboration with all the countries where NPH is present, under the umbrella of NPH International’s social media networks.

The atmosphere during the semifinal matches was electric: music, fans cheering on their teams, donors on the field following each game, and children and young people running around the pitch. It was a true celebration of sport and youth empowerment.

After the semifinal matches, while the joy of the Salvadorans and Hondurans echoed throughout the NPH sports complex in Santa Ana, on the other side of the field, there was profound sadness among the players of the teams that didn’t reach the final.

But because solidarity is one of NPH’s core values, and this tournament is for young people to enjoy, there were many acts of fair play. The winning players went and embraced their fellow athletes.

Later, a supplementary match was played between a team made up of players from Bolivia, Peru, and the Dominican Republic versus a veterans’ team. In the end, youth prevailed, and the NPH mixed youth team defeated the veterans 2-1.

This Friday, all six teams will play again. In addition to the final match, two more matches will be played to determine the remaining positions in this “One Goal for Peace 2025” Cup.
