We are very pleased to announce that Evelyn Espinal has been appointed as the new National Director of NPH Honduras. Evelyn will officially begin her role on April 21, 2025.This important decision follows a thorough and transparent recruitment process. A high number of highly qualified candidates from across the country applied for the position. Several rounds of interviews and careful evaluations were carried out, with input from leadership across NPH. We are confident that Evelyn brings the experience, commitment, and values we were seeking.
Evelyn is a passionate and experienced professional in the field of psychology and social development. She has dedicated her career to working with vulnerable children, youth, and families through respected organizations such as Catholic Relief Services (CRS), COIPRODEN, and Glasswing International. With national-level coordination experience in mental health and socioemotional learning, and her ongoing studies in international cooperation and development project management, Evelyn brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
As National Director, Evelyn will lead the strategic planning and implementation of NPH’s social development programs in Honduras. She will guide a multidisciplinary team, build partnerships with local and international stakeholders, and represent NPH Honduras before donors, government institutions, and the broader community. Her role is vital in ensuring that NPH continues to provide a loving, protective, and empowering environment for children, youth, and families.
Evelyn describes herself as a woman deeply committed to defending the rights of children and adolescents. She is known for her empathy, service, and dedication to creating environments where young people can thrive. A long-time volunteer with the Honduran Scouts, Evelyn embodies the spirit of service and leadership. In her own words:
